The strap cinches down tight on our dining chairs, so my toddler can't wiggle it loose mid-meal. Took it to my parents' place last weekend and it fit their chairs just as easily, which is a huge win for small-space living.
We lugged this to my in-laws' place for Sunday dinner, and strapping it to their standard dining chair took about ten seconds. It's so compact that it stows in the trunk without killing our groceries, and our toddler actually stayed put the whole meal.
Honestly, the whole thing takes up less space in the trunk than a bag of groceries, which is why it's already living in the car for weekend trips. My toddler is finally at eye level with the table at grandma's, and it clamps onto her dining chairs without a wobble.
